Don’t I have to only go to the original Dealer where I bought my new car in order to get a Logbook Service or to maintain my New Car Warranty ?

NO. New car dealers do not have the right to void your statutory new car warranty just because you had services or repairs done at a service centre different to the dealership that you bought it from.

You legally have the right to visit any mechanic or car service center of your choice to get your Log book service. You should, however, make sure that the selected car service center employs fully qualified mechanics and technicians, and that the services they perform meet manufacturer’s specifications and quality parts are used.

  • Check and top-up of all fluids including coolant, transmission, power steering and windscreen washers
  • Check and top-up of tyre pressure
  • Check Wipers
  • Check and cleaning of air filters including cabin air filter
  • Check fuel filter and fuel lines
  • Check brakes and clutch system
  • Pressure test of the cooling system
  • Adjust handbrake where applicable
  • Check steering and suspension
  • Lube all doors
  • Check battery, including charging
  • Check steering and suspension
  • Check exhaust system
  • Reset service intervals

Major service includes:

  • All cars are road tested
  • Safety checks
  • Diagnostic testing & Fault reading
  • Replacement of air filter and fuel filter
  • Check and top-up of tyre pressure
  • Replacement of spark plugs
  • Replacement of cabin air filter if required
  • Check and top up of all fluids including coolant, transmission, power steering and windscreen washers

  • Pressure test of the cooling system
  • Check and top-up tyre pressure
  • Check Wipers
  • Check, clean and adjust front and rear brakes
  • Check clutch system
  • Adjust handbrake if required
  • Lube all doors
